This policy applies to farflungunlimited.org, a free geography game that runs in your browser.
The game does not require an account, payment, comment, or file upload. Playing does not require you to submit your name or email address.
Game progress stored on your device
The game uses your browser’s local storage to remember Daily attempts, the current Unlimited game, the remaining question queue, completed-journey totals, best score, and sound preference. This lets you resume play on the same browser.
These game saves are not uploaded by the game to a player-account service and are not synced between devices. They remain until replaced by normal gameplay, removed through browser settings, or cleared by your browser. Daily entries may remain for earlier dates.
You can remove them by clearing site data for farflungunlimited.org. This also removes saved progress and preferences; the game cannot restore that local information for you.
Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand visits and use of the website. Analytics may use cookies and device or browser identifiers to measure activity such as page views, referring pages, browser and device characteristics, and approximate location.
When the Google tag loads, your browser sends information to Google, including the page URL and network information such as your IP address. Google’s processing is described in How Google uses information from sites that use its services and the Google Privacy Policy.
You can use browser privacy controls or the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on, where supported. Private browsing alone does not prevent analytics requests.
Advertising
This edition launches without advertising tags. If advertising is enabled in the future, this page will be updated to identify the providers and explain the relevant privacy choices.

Website hosting and delivery providers may process ordinary request information, such as IP address, requested URL, browser information, and request time, to deliver pages and protect the service. We use Google Analytics as described above.
Links to third-party websites are governed by those websites’ policies. Our own maps, fonts, and game datasets are bundled with the game; following a source link takes you to a separate service.
Retention, transfers, and privacy requests
Local game data stays in your browser as described above. Analytics and advertising information is retained according to the relevant service’s configuration and policies.
Service providers may process information in countries other than the one where you live. Their privacy policies describe their processing locations and applicable transfer arrangements.
